1-1 Healing Session

What is a Healing Session?
The gentle, energy healing modality of Reiki is initiated to harmonize the body systems toward optimal well-being. We incorporate guided visualizations, sound and sometimes even crystals during the healing session, when guided, to assist the body and mind in shifting into a deeply relaxed state where healing occurs. The energy flows through the practitioner to the client, through the divine intelligence of universal life force. Each client has a unique response to the energy, and each session you experience will vary from the last. Clients feel peaceful and calm, grounded and uplifted following a Reiki session.

I'm new to Reiki, what should I know?
Each session is approximately 1 hour. You will recline, fully clothed, on a massage table during the session. We recommend that you dress comfortably and warmly (or in layers) for your session.

Before You Arrive

  • Plan ahead to arrive on time, all appointments begin and end as scheduled
  • Masks are required
  • Please wear socks and closed toe shoes
  • Bring your own bottle of water/tea.
  • Bring your own eye pillow (optional)

  • Remove footwear in entry way
  • Restroom available

After Session

  • After each session, all bedding is removed from table and properly sanitized, all surfaces and washroom are sanitized

Restorative Yoga (Small Group Class)

Restorative Yoga

This 90 minute yoga class is an expression of the softer side of yoga. My teacher declares this practice as a "radical act of self-compassion and self-care". I couldn't agree more.

Restorative yoga is the gateway to deep rest & rejuvenation. Using props, you will fully support your body and free lingering tension, thus initiating the return to the parasympathetic nervous system (where we "rest" and "digest"). Deep relaxation and restoration is the focus of this practice.

We will allow 10-30 minutes in each posture.

What happens during a restorative yoga session?

Your body drops into a space of deeply restful state. We call this state pratyahara, in yoga. Pratyahara is the conscious withdrawal of our senses from the outer world. It begins with intention. We set up supportive yoga props, we drape our body over this special set up and our body begins to relax, settle, and soften.

Gradually, a shift happens in our minds, as well. Though sensory stimulus is still present in the space around us, our reaction fades away. The dog next door may bark, you may hear it, but there is only awareness. The annoyance and irritability is not present while in this state.

Restorative yoga is one avenue through which we create the conditions to support the transition from the active, reactive, sympathetic state to the tranquil, spacious, healing state of parasympathetic dominance. Restorative yoga wakes up your natural healing response while you are at rest. This practice is wonderfully nutritive and rejuvenative.

Who is this practice for?

This practice is beneficial for everyone, and needed in our world more than ever. Restorative yoga requires no prior experience.
Some tell tale signs that you would benefit from restorative could be: you feel burnt-out, you're not sleeping well, you wake up depleted in the morning, you're digestion is "off", you're irritable, anxious or discouraged, or you don't have the energy or will to get out and move your body.
Restorative yoga can be a tremendous support to those who are working through trauma, I have had many clients in the past whose hyper-vigilance has softened through the safety and support that they have felt during the restorative experience.

*Disclaimer: if you're determined to use yoga your workout, that's all good, but you're not looking for restorative, you're looking for a "vinyasa" or "power class"!

Be honest, are you getting quality rest most nights? Take a moment and ponder the questions below.

  • Do you opt out of screen time at least 1 hour before you head to bed?
  • Are there tech devices in your bedroom?
  • Do you go to bed early enough to give yourself a 7-9 hour window for sleep?
  • Do you wake up in the night and have difficulty getting back to sleep?
  • Is it hard to turn your brain off and get to sleep at night?
  • Do you wake sluggish, feeling sleep deprived?

Yesterday, I was discouraged to see a photo of a girl sitting in bed, lights off, browsing her phone, on the local government's social media page. Research* has been consistently showing the ill impacts of screen time, and nighttime screen time on mental health and sleep for a number of years. The post was about anxiety around the pandemic for heaven's sake!

One some level, each and every class of our On-Demand Membership in November will address sleep. We will explore practices that can be done in the evening to support the transition of the body and brain from a sympathetic dominant state to the rest and digest state that is engaged in the sleep cycle.

From the Vedic perspective, restful sleep is the most effective means of replenishing soma. Soma is described as a rejuvinative nectar or even the fountain of youth. When soma is dried up or burned out, it causes us to be depleted. When it is available to us, is has us feeling nourished, replenished, rejuvenated, full, available, soft, welcoming to everything in our presence. We can liken soma to the luminous full moon. Herbs, foods, certain mantras are outward sources of soma, that can help us bring soma within. Deep sleep, is the inner source of replenishment, for optimal health and longevity.

Let's move through November with the intention of savouring rituals that help us prepare the body and brain for rest. In so doing, we are becoming ever more available for deep, peaceful and nourishing sleep. Wake to each new day with clarity, softness of heart, and an ability to be open and present to that which your day brings.

A PDF will be provided, detailing the props used for each class, for your convenience.


These classes will be shared via Dropbox link, which you will receive on the first day of the month along with instructions for access. You are welcome to download the classes to your Dropbox or to your computer; in other words, the classes are yours to practice in November and beyond! You can sign up for Dropbox if you wish, but the link will also work if you do not have a Dropbox account.

1-1 Yoga Session

1-1 Yoga Sessions are for clients who have a specific need or goal that they would like to address through yoga inspired practices. Working 1-1 allows you to receive individual programming designed specifically for your physical, mental and emotional landscape. This integrative approach is exciting, because we know that each aspect of our being contributes to our overall vitality.

Kelly draws on her experience in a variety of modalities including: Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga, Mindful Movement, Restorative Yoga, and Yoga Nidrā to create 1-1 experiences suited to your individual needs.

Please arrive on time. As we work within our new normal, we ask that you bring your own bottle of water/tea. Restroom is available.

Empowerment Sessions for Children/Teens

Practices and techniques to nurture your child on her journey. We incorporate breathing practices, yoga movements, mindful art, discussions about topics such as resilience, self-worth, and self-esteem. Reiki is also a lovely modality for our children/teens.

Kelly draws on 15 years of experience working with children in public schools and in the studio. She specializes in working with young people who have heightened sensitivities and who need support navigating their empathic nature.

We have found the pleasure and joy of still being able to offer our services outside during this period.

Late summer is a seasonal transition, we are holding on to the power of summer but feeling autumn and fall preparing us for the inward journey of winter.


In Chinese five elements late summer is correlated to Earth, it is a short season but one to be enjoyed!

The Earth element represents our stable centre of our existence and we reep her benefits even more in Late Summer as we begin to harvest the best season of the plentiful fruits and vegetables that she offers.


It is a great time to ground and send love and gratitude to Mother Earth and all that she offers.

We look forward to celebrating the energy of late summer with you all in this outdoor event.

Reiki Level 2 is a truly special day where you learn how to send distance healing to different places and time periods. What does Reiki Level 2 training involve? Reiki Level 2 empowers you to establish a practice with clients for a fee and to send distance healing.

What is Reiki Level 3?
Reiki Level III aligns you with the Reiki Master Energy, it is a magical day, indeed.

Complete your Reiki certification process with meditations, healing, new hand positions and an attunement that connect you with the simplicity and oneness of being in the flow. You will learn a new symbol along with its functions. You'll deepen your sense of interconnectedness as we work with a set of exercises called The Five Tibetans.

With your Level III certification, you are a Reiki Master Healer. From here, you may choose to continue on to work with a Reiki Master as a Reiki Master Teacher Apprenticeship.

An intimate gathering for healing and empowerment, for your highest good and the highest good of all. Two incredibly gentle, yet powerful, healing modalities combine to channel the healer within.

Your body has a miraculous ability to heal itself. Discover your inner healer through supportive restorative yoga postures during this special 2 hour practice. Each participant will receive 1-1 Reiki, supporting you as you drop into a deeply restorative state. Your body's natural healing system engages as you receive this unconditionally loving life force energy. Combined with time spent in restorative yoga postures, deep healing occurs on all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

The benefits of this practice will be very individual, as each of us comes to our mat for different reasons on any given day.

Yin + Restorative (Group Class)

A long time client favourite, Yin & Restorative is a combination of two very distinctive practices. We spend the majority of the class percolating in Yin shapes before moving to an extended Restorative savasana (final relaxation).


Yin Yoga comes from the taoist tradition. The word Yin refers to the lunar, feminine aspect of our being, that which is cool, soft, sustaining, earthy, internal, dark. Yin Yoga practice is known for its long held shapes, where our aim is to release the deeper tissues of the body (think fascial network). This more passive style of tension on our tissues is useful as a balance to the more active types of movement we engage in (biking, running, vinyasa, etc). Spending time in Yin-like practices also helps us to come into equilibrium with our energy body which is dominated by the Yang aspects of our lives (energized, striving, achievement, drive, bright, external, etc.).

Restorative Yoga is the gentlest of yoga practices, which has evolved from Iyengar teachings. The use of props is integral to this practice, where our goal is to support the physical body in order that over time, our tensile patterns dissolve and we sink into deep relaxation. Here our parasympathetic nervous system is engaged and faciliates a healing response. This is a beautiful way to boost the immune system, mitigate the effects of poor sleep, and so much more!

Yoga Nidrā (Group Class)

Welcome to Yoga Nidrā, a replenishing practice.

Yoga Nidrā has the feel of a meditation. We spend the class nourishing in a supported Savasana position. You will be invited to absorb a contemplation or an intention and you will be guided through a progressive relaxation experience.

Yoga Nidrā is an ideal practice for anyone who is feeling depleted. This experience attunes you to Yin aspects of our being: the divine feminine, our connection to Mother Earth, the moon and the infinite, nurturance, resilience, sustenance, contentment, support, surrender, and sweetness.

Please bring with you:

  • Yoga mat
  • 3 blankets
  • Facecloth
  • any other props that help you to feel supported
